An LCD flat TV is one of the hottest items on the market. If you are one of those lucky people that already have one, then your biggest problem now is to find the best way to mount it on the wall. A nice flat TV screen mounted on the wall offers you the best way to see the movies or listen to music. Plus, it will bring a certain sense of style to the whole room.
When you are thinking about a mounted LCD TV, you need to focus on two aspects:
1. The size of the TV
There is a big difference in size and weight between a 22 inch model and a 50 inch one. The size will also decide the types of materials you need in order to mount it on the wall. The brackets are much different when the screen is heavier.
2. Wall type
Flat panels pretty much go on most walls. The wood studding is the most common one. In order to locate the best place to put the screen, you need a stud finder. You will also need concrete anchors to secure the connection.
3. Types of wall mount
Here are some of the wall mount types:
• A fixed wall mount is quite popular and does not use any extravagant things. But the downside is that you can not tilt the screen.
• A tilting mount will offer you flexibility and you can tilt the screen for a proper angle. You can rotate from 5 to 15 degrees.
• The arm mount is also common and allows the screen to swing a lot. Most of the times these are referred to as articulating arm mounts.
4. Cable management
Make sure to keep the wires well connected and somewhere out of sight.
